The Constitution Committee is now complete. At our last Executive meeting, we discussed the preliminary work needed in order to get this committee organized and working. Once we have our definite plan in place, we shall be contacting the committee members, and the work will begin. Needless to say, the discussions and work will be done mostly through teleconferences and email. We have added two more members from Saskatoon, Mary Budzak, who is a National Past President, and Anne Klopoushak, who has served on the National Executive, as well as many years on the UMC Board. We felt that the expertise and input of these two Executive members would help us greatly in the task ahead.
The committee members are:

SK – Cecilia Kachkowski, Anne Klopoushak, Mary Budzak
Eastern – Darcia Moskaluk-Rutkay

50th ANNIVERSARY OF PROMIN
2010 marks the 50TH Anniversary of our journal, PROMIN. We are very proud of this journal, as it has become a first class publication, with interesting articles on a variety of topics. It is where members and branches have the opportunity to share their news and activities, and we encourage everyone to take advantage of this ability to let others know what they are doing.
Fifty years of publishing is very significant, and must be appropriately commemorated. We would ask our members and branches to send us any ideas they may have on how to celebrate and commemorate
FLOOD VICTIMS IN UKRAINE
By now everyone has heard about the catastrophic flooding in western Ukraine this past summer. The floods have damaged over 40,000 homes, destroyed agricultural land, made nearly 700 km of roads impassable, and have killed close to 30 people.
We are urging all Ukrainian Canadians to assist our brothers and sisters in Ukraine who are victims of this tragedy. Please send your cheques made out to the “Pomich Ukraini Fund” to:
